Unit/Division: East Metropolitan Health Service > East Metropolitan Health Service / People and Culture As part of the People and Culture leadership team, the Director Industrial Relations leads the East Metropolitan Health Service (EMHS) industrial relations team and provides an industrial relations consultancy service across the EMHS. The Director ensures the industrial relations function is aligned and compliant with the HSP strategic direction and is consistent with the System Manager industrial relations function and regulatory policy framework, public sector policies and relevant legislation. The Director provides strategic and timely advice on industrial relations management matters to the executive leadership team and other stakeholders across a wide range of industrial instruments. Collaboration with other leaders to promote a culture which enables us to deliver on our vision of ‘healthy people, amazing care’ will also be a key focus for the role. About you: You will have strong leadership skills and extensive experience in the delivery and management of industrial relations services and/or human resource management. You will have highly developed communication, consultation and negotiation skills and a demonstrated ability to influence people in the achievement of objectives. Ideally, you will be someone who has a strength in structured problem solving and critical thinking, and who has the ability to communicate ideas, strategies and concepts in clear, compelling and credible ways to stakeholders at all levels. Finally, you will be someone who role models our values and develops others.
