How you can help make a better world of work We are looking for a strategic and highly skilled Director, Reporting & Compliance to lead and manage financial reporting, financial compliance, and the Employee Share Option Plan (ESOP) within our organisation. This role will oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and manage the ESOP to align with both legal standards and employee engagement objectives. The Director will work closely with senior leadership, external auditors, legal teams, and HR to maintain high standards of financial transparency, governance, and regulatory compliance, driving process improvements to optimise for scalability, delivering value-add financial information and insights required by our global, fast growth company that truly embraces putting culture at the forefront of everything we do. You will Strategy and leadership Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence. Develop and implement strategies to enhance financial reporting processes, ensuring operational efficiency, transparency, and compliance across the organisation. Drive process improvements, implement automation, and develop training programs to enhance team capabilities, deliver value-add insights, mitigate risk and support an agile culture in a constantly pivoting environment. Subject matter expert (SME) on financial reporting and compliance-related matters, offering recommendations to senior leadership on best practices, policy changes, and system improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting and compliance processes to drive financial accuracy and insights. Financial Reporting Oversee financial reporting and close processes, in compliance with relevant local standards and regulatory requirements, implementing best practice processes for timeliness and accuracy. Drive the external audits and consulting work, ensuring the timely resolution of audit queries and the smooth completion of audit procedures. Direct oversight and responsibility for technical accounting matters, ensuring appropriate policies are implemented and adhered to relevant to scale. Own the Netsuite ERP system, driving improvements and automation. Provide support for ad-hoc projects and analysis along with financial presentations for executive management and the Board of Directors. Compliance Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs and policies to ensure adherence to financial regulations, corporate governance standards, and industry best practices. Oversee the administration and compliance of the ESOP, including issuances, exercises, secondaries and reporting of stock options. Work with PX and Legal to manage the communication and education of employees on the ESOP, ensuring a clear understanding of the benefits, terms, and tax implications. Own the company’s global insurance portfolio, working with the relevant insurance brokers, Legal and Risk to ensure appropriate coverage through annual renewals. Establish, monitor, and maintain the system of internal controls that ensures the integrity of accounting processes and deliverables. Maintain compliance with global business registrations. You have Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CA / CPA (or equivalent) qualification. 12+ years of experience in financial reporting and regulatory compliance with at least 5 years in a finance leadership role. In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards (GAAP/IFRS), coupled with experience researching and presenting complex technical accounting issues to a broader audience. Experience with multi-jurisdictional financial reporting and analysis and statutory compliance. Ability to design and implement accounting and finance related best practices, controls, and processes, and system selection and implementation experience. Experience in the technology and/or software industry, particularly at a fast growth SAAS company preferred. Experience in managing and administering an Employee Share Option Plan (ESOP) preferred. Strong technical skills in financial software, reporting tools, and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). Strategic Leader & Coach.
