Total Remuneration Package from $225,000 including superannuation, commensurate with experience About the Role As the Director of Property, Asset Management, and Environment, you'll lead the strategic development and management of NSW Telco Authority's property, environment, and asset portfolio (>$1bn). This role is your chance to oversee a large and growing portfolio of leases and critical infrastructure sites, ensuring they meet current and emerging requirements in line with NSW Government strategic asset management objectives. You will also drive the integration of environmental planning and sustainability into asset management strategies and practices. Additionally, you will explore and implement commercial models for the portfolio of leases and drive best practices in asset management, utilizing cutting-edge technologies. Role Responsibilities Lead the strategic development and management of the organisation’s property portfolio to meet current and emerging requirements. Oversee the management of a large, complex, and expanding portfolio of assets, ensuring compliance with NSW Government strategic objectives. Develop and implement ongoing improvements in integrated asset management plans and strategies, incorporating environmental and sustainability planning, in line with NSW Treasury Asset Management policy. Provide expert guidance in designing and executing asset management frameworks, programs, systems, and processes. Drive the implementation and review of property strategy, commercial models and plans, ensuring effective operation and maintenance of the portfolio. Develop financial models and perform financial analysis to recommend strategies for major assets. Lead the Authority’s environmental and sustainability governance, including climate change management and carbon footprint reporting. Drive best practices in asset management, leveraging tools such as predictive analytics, digital twin technology and AI. Does This Sound Like You? You are a strategic thinker with extensive experience in property and asset management and a substantial understanding of asset lifecycle principles. You have proven experience leading commercial and property functions in a high-volume, complex environment. Ideally, you bring knowledge of environmental planning and sustainability practices and are adept at managing change, fostering collaboration, and delivering results. You’re comfortable leading through frequent context switching, from strategic influencing to tactical engagement, across telecommunications and construction, between state and federal government, and across emergency and essential services, digital and customer experience. Additionally, you are excited about leveraging digital tools to drive best practices in asset management.
