The Opportunity Goal Group is seeking a number of experienced Commercial/Contracts specialists and Managers to support current and upcoming Defence acquisition and sustainment programs in Canberra. In these roles, you will be required to lead or support (depending on your skills and experience) complex commercial, contracts and procurement outcomes within an integrated workforce. In this role (depending on skill level), you will: Author and review complex strategic procurement and contracting documentation using the ASDEFCON suite that complies with relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks and Defence quality standards including the PGPA Act, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, Defence Procurement Policy Manual. Prepare, conduct and finalise Defence strategic procurement activities within the CASG environment. Provide Contract Management, Procurement and commercial advice and support. Support complex procurement activities including: Review of solicitation documentation and supporting information (i.e. statements of work, statements of requirement, data item descriptions), Support evaluation of industry responses to approaches to market related to area of expertise. Ensure that the procurement activities adhere to Commonwealth and Defence procurement policies. Manage or coordinate all contract maintenance / governance activities. Engage in stakeholder management activities. About You As an ideal candidate, you will have: Current/recent experience in Defence procurement, commercial and contract management of ASDEFCON contracts. Experience with activities such as processing contract changes, reviewing contract deliverables, managing contractor performance, leading negotiations with prime contractors, developing s23 approvals, developing contract management plans, developing approaches to market, managing commercial risks etc. Knowledge of the contracting and procurement framework, the PGPA and other related Defence policies. Understanding of the content of the Defence Procurement Manual (DPM), and related guidance, and the ASDEFCON suite of tendering and contracting templates. Hold an active AGSVA Security Clearance, noting that only Australian Citizens are eligible to obtain and maintain a Commonwealth Security Clearance.
