Job Description
EXPERIENCED STABLE / FARM HAND – FULLTIME/CASUAL Immediate start! Munce Racing require an experienced, capable stable /farm hand to join their spelling/pre-training team at ‘Ballycapall’, Josephville. Applicants must have suitable experience working with horses, including assisting in handling pre-trainers, spellers and young horses. Applicants must also be reliable with attention to detail. Duties will include: Grooming and washing horses, Walking horses, Saddling horses, Trial strapping, General treatment and care of horses, General stable and farm duties. Most importantly we are looking for a person who demonstrates very good horse handling skills, a willingness to integrate themselves into the team, is honest, reliable and self-motivated. Applicants must be available to work early morning shifts, afternoons, and weekends. Truck licence preferred but not essential and a Queensland Racing stablehand licence is desirable. No accommodation is available at Ballycapall. Rate of pay will be in accordance with the successful applicants’ experience and ability. Only apply if you have experience working with horses.
