Education Manager 2 - Defence Delivery - Electrical Mode: Full-time/Ongoing Chisholm is seeking an experienced and student-focused Education Manager for our Defence Delivery business area. ABOUT THE ROLE This role is accountable for the provision of academic quality, operational support and leadership through a focus on the development of strategies and programs that promote and support Chisholm’s strategic pillars. The Education Manager (Level 2) – Electrical is accountable for the provision of operational leadership and business development to support business growth and development of strategies and programs that promote the Institute’s Educational Excellence Framework. This position directly supports the Manager Defence Delivery and peers in Defence Delivery Business area in managing and leading the implementation of Operational excellence, business growth and opportunities that enhance the Institute’s reputation and meets industry and community needs in the course areas as designated. The incumbent is a key member of the Defence Delivery Business area and Education Manager Network within Chisholm and provides contemporary teaching and learning leadership and expertise in their subject matter area and educational excellence. ABOUT YOU You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools. Qualifications required for the role: Adult Teaching qualification at AQF 6 level or higher Vocational qualifications relevant to or above the level required and industry currency Registration with professional bodies as required for the teaching discipline Demonstrated successful experience in the delivery and development of contemporary educational programs, approaches and developments that meet learner, industry and community needs High-level interpersonal and communication skills presentation skills, a range of literacy, written and communication skills High-level organisational skills and the ability to coordinate resources in significant program areas, captured through Chisholm policies and processes Demonstrated ability to plan, develop and use tools in assessing learner competence and abilities taught, and managing associated data Demonstrated evidence of ongoing vocational and professional development Demonstrated ability to design and deliver succinct, up to date and engaging program materials and training sessions Ability to identify potential and existing setbacks and challenges in a classroom environment and effectively resolve these Ability to motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes High-level awareness of, and responsiveness to, learners from a broad range of backgrounds and emotional contexts Proven ability to understand and readily adapt to changing circumstances both within and outside the classroom Openness to new ideas and the ability to positively respond to and implement new ideas Proven experience in developing innovative educational delivery methods to meet the needs of a broad range of learners ABOUT US Chisholm is one of the largest vocational training providers in the state with a team of over 1,400 dedicated staff supporting 41,000 students who choose to study at Chisholm and training at our modern campuses across Melbourne’s southeast and online.
