About the Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Communications & Brand Manager to join Metcash on a fixed-term contract until end July 2026. In this role, you’ll shape and drive our employee communications strategy, creating frameworks, sharing expertise and owning platforms that enhance the employee experience. As the custodian of our employer brand and employer value proposition (EVP), you’ll also be strengthening our reputation as an exceptional place to work, connecting our people to our purpose and showcasing all the benefits of being part of the Metcash family. This role may also be considered part time (4 days per week). In this Role Shape the future of employee communications by developing strategies and frameworks that support our diverse and growing workforce, adapting proven approaches to fit our unique business needs. Own and grow our communications platforms, including optimising tools for our critical frontline workforce (supply chain operations, retail stores, branches, etc.) whilst driving a new era of communications for our knowledge workers through the roll out of Viva Engage. Elevate our employer brand by increasing awareness and strengthening perception in the market - showcasing what makes Metcash a fulfilling place to work through compelling content, campaigns, social media, and employee advocacy. Champion our employer value proposition (EVP) by bringing our ‘Part of Something Bigger’ story to life, empowering brand ambassadors, and continuously enhancing the offering we are positioning to team members and candidates. You’re Likely a Match If You’ve successfully implemented communication strategies for diverse teams, tailoring approaches for employees across warehouses, stores, branches, offices, and remote locations. You’re a natural leader who takes initiative, brings great ideas to life, and influences others to drive collaboration and organisation-wide adoption. You have experience with communication platforms like Viva Engage and ideally Mumba (or similar tools for frontline teams), and you know how to leverage them effectively. You’re passionate about showcasing what makes a workplace special, with experience in employer branding, EVP, and/or content marketing and campaign management being highly desirable.
