Due to the continued demand, they are looking for an Energy Analyst with between 2-3 years experience who has strong modelling/data analysis skills. Experience as a Data/Quant Analyst in a Commercial platform would be ideal. Must have advanced SQL and Excel skills, and Python, R, and Matlab would be advantageous but not a prerequisite. This is a small team led by one of the country's leading experts in Energy market risk Analysis who is also well known for his mentoring and development of more Junior members. They have a blue-chip client list that includes top companies across Developers, Energy Retailers and Wholesalers, Government Agencies active in Energy Regulation and Investments, as well as Financial Institutions. Responsibility for tasks including: Working with clients to deliver thorough and accurate research on focus areas across all Energy subsectors Initiating and leading rigorous analysis into portfolio behaviors and deploying research to draw statistically significant conclusions around risk Performing analysis at pace during times of crisis to help inform portfolio management decisions Researching and implementing new methodologies to improve the capability of the group on an ongoing basis Thinking commercially and strategically They will offer a very competitive daily rate for the right candidate.
