EA to Executive General Manager, Global Economic and Markets Research See yourself in our team: Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) is CommBank’s primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions. We look after both corporate and major government clients across Australia, New Zealand and international markets. Whether at home or globally, our dedicated teams advise our customers on critical issues surrounding debt and equity capital markets, risk management and transactional banking. The Global Economic and Markets Research team within IB&M plays an instrumental role in supporting our customers by providing accurate, timely and relevant insights and updates on domestic, international, sustainable, commodity, and financial economic trends. Do work that matters Supporting our newly appointed Executive General Manager (EGM) in our Global Economic and Markets Research team, you will provide high-level administrative support to manage the Executive’s demanding schedule and act as a key point of contact to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Your success will be governed by your experience working with fast-paced C-Suite executives and understanding the need to pre-empt their needs on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate is highly proactive, has exceptional communication and time-management skills, excels at managing competing priorities, adapts to changing demands, and provides high-level support with efficiency and discretion. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Diary & Email Management – Oversee a complex schedule, prioritising commitments and ensuring seamless daily operations. Gatekeeping & Communication – Manage correspondence, filter requests, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. Travel Coordination – Arrange detailed domestic and international travel itineraries. Meeting Management – Prepare agendas, reports, presentations, and arrange meeting room bookings. Event Management – Arrange events/functions/offsites/team building events. Stakeholder Management – Act as a trusted liaison between external and internal contacts. Establish and maintain strong, effective, strategic, and appropriate working relationships with business partners, EAs, and other stakeholders. Risk Management – Provide HR support and assist with recruitment requests, staff exits, onboarding/offboarding, and adhering to the Group’s policies and procedures. Provide ad hoc administrative support to the wider team. We're interested in hearing from people who have: Previous experience supporting similar C-suite Executives as an Executive Assistant. A proactive working style with the ability to pre-empt needs and take initiative to get things done. Exceptional attention to detail and superior skills in Microsoft Office suite. A high level of discretion and confidentiality. Ability to build relationships, is highly personable with excellent communication skills. Ability to manage workflow, priorities, work well under pressure, and be flexible. High level of pragmatic professionalism – face to face, over the phone, and through correspondence.
