We are currently seeking an External Sales Representative to join our team at the Townsville location . This role is critical in driving Xylem’s sales objectives within the designated territory, with a focus on promoting our diverse range of products to industries such as mining and other industrial sectors. Role Responsibilities: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan in collaboration with the Sales Manager to achieve sales, profit, and growth targets. Conduct regular sales visits as outlined in the sales plan, offering expert product advice and engineering solutions to customers. Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities by leveraging market intelligence, tender information, and future construction project leads. Prepare reports and other necessary documentation in accordance with branch and customer requirements. Contribute to the sales team by attending meetings and providing updates on sales progress and CRM system usage to the Sales Manager. Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, addressing technical or service-related inquiries, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving repeat business. Qualifications & Skills: A qualification in Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable. Proven experience in sales, with a strong track record of lead generation and deal closure in customer-facing roles. Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office applications, and other sales management systems. Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with customers. A customer-centric approach with a passion for delivering exceptional service and tailored solutions.
