We need a Finance & Business Insights Specialist who can go beyond traditional finance roles —someone who can consolidate data from multiple sources, visualise financial trends, and provide critical reporting that informs business strategy. If you're a finance professional with strong data acumen and expertise in Power BI or other visualisation tools , this role is for you. What You’ll Do: Financial Reporting & Business Analysis Revenue Insights: Provide a clear breakdown of revenue streams—one-time vs. recurring, by product, by customer, and by market segment. Forecasting & Budgeting: Analyse financial performance, forecast revenue trends, and provide 1-, 2-, and 3-year projections . Budget vs. Actual Analysis: Track budgets, identify variances, and recommend strategies to enhance profitability. Investment & ROI Analysis: Assess capital investments and deliver insights on returns. Growth Metrics & KPIs: Develop financial models that track revenue growth, profitability, customer acquisition costs, and financial health . Core Financial Operations Reconciliation: Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee invoice processing, payments, collections, and vendor reconciliations . Payroll Management: Process payroll, including wages, superannuation, and compliance reporting. Transaction Processing: Manage payments, receipts, and transfers , ensuring accuracy and compliance. Budget Oversight: Assist in building, tracking, and optimising operational budgets . Audit & Compliance: Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for auditing and regulatory purposes . Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with internal and external partners, including vendors, customers, auditors, and leadership teams . Multi-Source Data Integration: Combine financial data from multiple platforms and create meaningful reports . Power BI & Visualisation: Use Power BI (or similar tools) to create clear, interactive dashboards that allow leadership to make data-driven decisions . Business Performance Insights: Deliver real-time insights to drive strategy and efficiency. What We’re Looking For: Financial Expertise: Strong background in finance, accounting, or business analysis . Bonus points if you have experience in the Telco/ICT sector , and more specifically Telstra . Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to consolidate, analyse, and visualise financial data to create actionable insights. Power BI & Data Skills: Experience with Power BI or similar tools to generate financial dashboards and reports. Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to interpret financial data and provide recommendations to improve performance. Attention to Detail: Meticulous, organised, and methodical in financial management and reporting. Proactive & Independent: Ability to manage workload, identify areas for improvement, and drive efficiency.
