Job Description

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Freight & Logistics Co-Ordinator to oversee freight and logistics operations, ensuring efficiency and exceptional customer service. This role involves managing freight deliveries, resolving issues, coordinating with suppliers, and leading the dispatch team. You will work closely with the Head of Freight & Logistics to optimise delivery processes and drive cost-saving initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Customer Service & Issue Resolution Escalate and resolve customer service issues promptly. Maintain regular communication with customers, providing timely updates. Engage in proactive assistance, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Freight Operations & Coordination Work with the Freight Administrator to address delivery issues. Follow up on freight-related tickets and liaise with freight companies for missing shipments. Hold freight partners accountable for underperformance. Ensure smooth delivery operations for garden and Big Shed products. Support and guide the Freight Administrator and Dispatch team. Assist in onboarding and training new team members in collaboration with HR. Act as a key point of contact for agents and contractors regarding rates and workloads. Monitor ETAs and coordinate with suppliers for timely deliveries. Manage invoices for deliveries and linehaul, ensuring accuracy and prompt processing. Contribute to freight-related cost reduction initiatives. Process Improvement & Project Management Implement and optimise Transvirtual setups and configurations. Conduct end-of-month audits for cleanliness, organisation, and attention to detail. Lead and participate in freight and logistics projects, ensuring successful completion. Drive efficiency through strong organisational and decision-making skills. Personal Attributes: Strong communication skills , with the ability to interact effectively with customers and global teams. Exceptional attention to detail in documenting interactions and ensuring accurate records. Excellent organisational skills , with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. A collaborative mindset, fostering a supportive and open team culture. Technical Skills & Experience: Proficiency in customer support software or ticketing systems.
