SLSQ is searching for a Governance Administration Officer! About the Role: The Governance Administration Officer plays a key role in supporting the organisation’s governance framework, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations. The position is responsible for providing administrative and operational support and governance processes. On occasion, there may be after hours meetings to attend. Key Responsibilities: Provide support on governance processes to ensure compliance with the organisation’s constitution, bylaws, and relevant policies. Support the development, review, and implementation of policies and governance documentation. Assist with the coordination and administration of Committee meetings, including preparation of agendas, minutes, and action logs. Respond to governance-related queries from clubs and branches, providing clear and timely advice. Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports, identifying trends, risks, response times, and areas for improvement. Maintain accurate and confidential records of all complaint matters and outcomes, ensuring data integrity and compliance with privacy obligations. Support the development and delivery of governance-related training materials to support clubs, branches, and other stakeholders in understanding policies and processes. Coordinate workshops, webinars, and resources that address key governance requirements and promote best practices. Assist with compliance monitoring and reporting requirements to ensure the organisation meets regulatory and internal obligations. Assist in compiling reports for a variety of stakeholders. Support the maintenance of up-to-date governance documentation, including policies, registers, and key governance instruments. Ensure version control and effective communication of policy changes to relevant stakeholders. Provide general administrative support to the governance team, including maintaining schedules, coordinating meetings, and managing correspondence. Skills & Experience: Demonstrated experience in governance, compliance, or administrative support roles. Strong understanding of governance frameworks, policies, and reporting requirements. Proven ability to analyse and prepare reports for a variety of stakeholders. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide practical advice in response to governance queries. High level of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. About SLSQ: Surf Life Saving Queensland employs over 550 people throughout Queensland.
