OzHarvest is a leading food rescue organisation on a mission to ‘Nourish our Country’ by stopping good food from going to waste and delivering it to charities that help feed people in need. Through our education programs and our advocacy work, we hope to inspire others to change their behaviour and help reach the national target of halving food waste by 2030. Underpinning the purpose and values of this amazing organisation, is a strong governance framework. About the role: The Governance Risk and Compliance Associate will ensure that OzHarvest operates in a safe manner, complying with all relevant legislation and in line with our Corporate Governance and Risks Management framework. This important role will provide valuable support to the Director of Governance Risk and Compliance, ensuring organisational activities are compliant, while assisting with administrative functions such as record keeping, registers, contracts and databases. This can be a full time role or part time (3 or 4 day) role based in Sydney. About you: You care about people and planet, you seek meaningful work that makes a difference. The successful candidate can demonstrate: Current or recent experience in legal or similar professional services, with relevant tertiary education An ability to support best practice principles of workplace governance and risk management Strong communication skills to engage across all parts of the organisation Expertise in record keeping, reporting, reviews, contracts, audits and assessments Experience working with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) software management systems The role could be perfect for a senior professional looking to make a change and find meaningful work.
