About the Role The company’s needs have grown to a point where they need to establish and grow an internal legal function. You’ll be the foundational member of the legal team and responsible for its growth and development over time. You’ll be working closely with experienced executives, engineering teams, and sales and operations staff to handle all BAU legal matters as well as briefing external counsel wherever necessary as the team grows. On any given day, you might be responsible for: Commercial and technology agreements across multiple regions Corporate Governance and implementing global policies with legal consistency Ensuring adherence to data privacy, consumer protection, and employment laws in key international markets Identifying legal risks and provide strategic advice to minimize exposure and ensure compliance Advising on employment law issues across contracts and labour law compliance Provide legal guidance on IP matters such as trademarks, patents, and the safeguarding of proprietary information Cross-functional collaboration with global teams to align legal advice with the company’s business goals About You You’ll be an experienced, senior commercial lawyer with consistent experience in either private practice or in-house roles.
