The Position: We are looking for a highly organised and strategic Head of Procurement and Supply Chain to join our Executive Team. This newly created role will be responsible for overseeing and optimising procurement, our global supply chain, offshore production, logistics, and overall operational efficiency within our fashion apparel business. This role ensures a seamless end-to-end supply and oversees the delivery of finished products across international markets on time, in full. The position requires strategic planning, supplier and vendor management, cost optimisation, and strong leadership to drive operational excellence and scalability in a competitive global landscape. Key Responsibilities: Procurement Formulate and execute procurement strategies to streamline purchasing processes and achieve efficiencies, cost savings and improve DIFOT. Enhance inventory efficiency by minimizing slow-moving stock. Evaluate market trends, forecasting models, and supplier performance to make data-driven procurement decisions that align with the company's financial goals. Supply Chain & Production Management Oversee global supply chain operations, ensuring efficient procurement, offshore warehousing, and distribution. Optimise vendor relationships and sourcing strategies to maintain quality and cost control. Ensure on-time production and delivery while minimising waste and excess inventory. Implement sustainability initiatives in manufacturing and supply chain practices. Logistics & Distribution Coordinate global logistics, warehousing, and distribution networks to ensure seamless product flow. Implement inventory management systems to balance supply and demand efficiently. Optimize freight, customs, and trade compliance strategies to improve speed and cost-effectiveness. Develop budgets and financial forecasts for procurement, supply chain, and logistics. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and brand reputation. Implement lean manufacturing and process optimisation techniques to improve margins. Monitor operational expenses and implement financial control measures. Operational Strategy & Performance Optimisation Develop and implement operational policies, SOPs, and best practices to enhance efficiency. Utilize data analytics to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement. Lead initiatives to enhance automation and digital transformation in operations. Sustainability, Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing standards. Maintain adherence to industry regulations, labor laws, and environmental policies. Develop crisis management and contingency plans for supply chain disruptions. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with finance, product development, merchandising, sales, and marketing teams to align supply chain strategies with business goals. Manage stakeholder relationships with external vendors, third-party logistics providers, and regulatory agencies. Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across procurement, supply chain and logistics. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance. About You: The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of Operations Management, Logistics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Of course, your leadership extends to coaching and developing teams and nurturing high-performance cultures. You will possess a passion for leadership and an innate drive for success. Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred). Proven experience of at least 8 years in commercial management, global operations, procurement, supply chain, or logistics management. Strong understanding of international trade, customs regulations, and global logistics networks. Proficiency in supply chain management software (ERP, PLM, WMS) and data analytics tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on financial performance. Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and sales planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various teams effectively. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Supply chain efficiency and cost reduction. On-time production and delivery rates. Inventory turnover and stock availability. Procurement cost optimisation and supplier performance. Logistics cost and transit time improvement. Sustainability and compliance adherence. Employee engagement and leadership development.
