The opportunity Are you an expert when it comes to Risk Assessment and Management? Are you comfortable and able to work autonomously and across multiple sites while being supported by a broader safety team? Here at EBOS Group we have an exciting opportunity for a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join the WHS team and facilitate the further development of a proactive and preventive health and safety culture. Reporting to the National Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager you will be responsible to support, help develop and oversee a consistent approach to management and compliance in relation to health, safety and wellbeing risks across the group and coordinate and provide advice to our operational sites on key health and safety requirements such as risk assessments, hazard management, legislative compliance, training, technical advice, audits/inspections, coaching, incident investigations, consultation, strategic objectives and health and wellbeing programs. To ensure best practice you must work closely with relevant stakeholders across the sites (within Victoria with occasional travel to Tasmania). As such, your ability to effectively engage and build relationships with a broad range of stakeholders in relation to both strategic and operational matters will be critical to success. A willingness to base yourself at varying locations within Melbourne (mainly in SE Suburbs) as well as a current driver’s license will be essential. Skills and Responsibilities: WHS operations and compliance & Risk Management; Business partnership, communication & consultation; Hazard and Risk Management; Strategy, innovation and continual improvement; Work Health & Safety. What we are looking for: Tertiary qualifications within relevant field of WHS; Experience and practical understanding of operational environments; Strong knowledge of current VIC/TAS WHS legislative and regulatory requirements; Extensive experience in risk and hazard management; Strong knowledge of incident investigation principles and demonstrated ability to investigate incidents; Excellent organisational and planning skills; Ability to coach and develop employees.
