Job Description

Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, the Hospital Coordinator Manager is a pivotal member of the healthcare team, providing leadership, operational and workforce management to the hospital ensuring high quality and safe care for our patients. As the Hospital Coordinator Manager you will lead the team of dedicated Hospital Nurse Coordinators who provide after-hours management of the Hospital. You will also be responsible for the overall management of the Nurse Bank team. This is a permanent full-time role. As the Hospital Coordinator Manager your responsibilities will include: Supervise safe, quality care that meets current best practice standards Lead the Hospital Nurse Coordinator team Provide overall management and responsibility of the Nurse Bank team Support and liaise with the respective Nurse Unit Manager(s) of wards and Departments Assist with coordination of staffing Manage patient flow, coordinate and plan operational processes Coordinate patient admissions and provide discharge planning support Support the hospital’s commitment to quality improvement and achievement of National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards Maintain the safety of staff, patients and visitors Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Extensive acute care and management experience Ability to manage competing demands and co-ordinate resources appropriately Advanced interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills Demonstrate effective analytical and problem solving skills Registered Nurse with current AHPRA Registration ALS / PALS trained (or preparedness to attend onsite training) Recent experience in bed management and/or patient flow Demonstrated experience with the coordination and allocation of staff High degree of computer literacy including MS Office Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Leadership skills including mentorship and coaching of team members Tertiary qualifications in leadership or critical care Why Healthscope?
