Recruitment Manager | IT Infrastructure at Hays Technology Your new company Victorian State Government client based in Melbourne’s CBD. Your new role As an IT System Administrator, you will be responsible to provide technical support, development, and management of computer systems to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications. You will also participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Role and responsibilities: Administer and monitor SRO devices, including PCs, laptops, and tablets and their applications. Provide up to 3rd level service requests and incident and problem management services in accordance with agreed service levels. Undertake project coordination activities for technology upgrades and updates. Assist with maintenance and enhancement of security operations in alignment with directives. Document relevant solutions and outcomes including progress reports. What you need to succeed Extensive knowledge of managing Windows server and desktop/laptop environments including VMWare, business application hosting and file/content management; and significant experience managing Windows PC’s, laptops, including the deployment of Windows SOEs and patches. Some experience in migrating from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Extensive knowledge of infrastructure applications for delivering management and authentication services, such as DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, DFS, NTFS and storage systems. Good general Knowledge of M365, Azure, and cloud services. Knowledge of ITIL and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and resolve complex technical issues and initiate ongoing improvements. Demonstrated self-management and communication skills to work effectively independently or in a team under competing priorities and tight timelines; assist stakeholders; and prepare clear written technical advice, reports, and work procedures. Industry certification in VMWare, Windows and ITIL, and other relevant disciplines. Some exposure to Kofax, CM10 and Disaster Recovery.
