Information Technology System Analyst

Job Description

I am hiring for a Senior System Analyst to translate business requirements into technical requirements that align with relevant architectures. Systems Analyst Professionals design, create, evaluate and document ICT solutions in new and existing ICT systems. They may propose modifications to the existing systems and processes, or design new systems to meet user needs as expressed in requirements documentation or user stories. Contract Duration: 12 months + Location: Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and NSW Must have: Australian Citizenship with Baseline Security Clearance Senior Systems Analysts are responsible for translating business needs into ICT system requirements and specifications for enhancements. This includes designing, analysing, and documenting software systems to meet business expectations. They are responsible for writing functional specifications from the business requirements. Responsibilities: Promote and deliver flexible, quality service and products to improve customer experience Work under the limited direction of senior staff to deliver results Undertake complex work Make ethical, evidence-based decisions using sound judgement Anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs and expectations May manage a team Duties may include: Perform detailed analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements Create solution designs and implement solutions to meet business needs Create and maintain solution documents Support daily operations and monitor performance of business solutions Adhere to delivery and support methodologies and contribute ideas for improvement Perform detailed technical application assessments considering feasibility, resource effort, risks and benefits Conduct testing activities such as test planning, execution coverage reviews, and defect management Collaborate with stakeholders to define tasks, resolve issues, solve problems, and ensure effective and timely implementation of projects Undertake project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design, and testing documents Review research, process models, and documentation of other staff, providing guidance and feedback Resolve or escalate issues as required and suggest alternative approaches and solutions Perform cost analysis activities as required Manage the life cycle of changes and improvements to systems Manage a team to increase performance and engagement through coaching, capability development, performance management, and health and well-being support Set priorities, manage resources, and assist with the development of work plans Exercise delegations in line with legislation and guidelines as required Please connect to discuss further.
