About the Position The Learning Design Lead plays a pivotal role in crafting and delivering engaging learning experiences for participants in Teach for Australia’s professional learning programs. This agile, adaptive position supports the design and delivery of development opportunities for teachers and leaders across Australia, in both online and in-person settings. Collaborating with TFA’s design and delivery teams and engaging with multiple stakeholders, the Learning Design Lead ensures that learning experiences meet high-quality standards and align with national benchmarks and TFA partner expectations. They work across various workstreams, including designing and facilitating learning sessions and providing coaching, both online and in-person. About You Essential Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in education or teaching Minimum 5 years' experience in teaching, teacher support, or leadership development roles, including at least 3 years teaching in low socioeconomic status schools Proven experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating professional learning for adults Strong project management skills with a track record of successful implementation Desirable Masters level degree (or higher) in education or teaching Experience in designing and delivering intensive-style programming for early career teachers and leaders Experience as a participant of Teach For All program or as staff of Teach For All partner organisation Project management qualification Experience in e-learning curriculum and resource development Experience in designing and delivering virtual and blended learning models. Primary Accountabilities Lead and support learning design and delivery Lead or support the development of key projects that shape program direction, including intensive learning events and ongoing professional development for participants. Ensure timely delivery of learning design projects, adhering to milestones, and reporting on progress and challenges. Facilitate purposeful collaboration with cross-organisational teams, external partners, and stakeholders (e.g., University Partner) for effective project delivery. Deliver learning both in-person and online. Monitor and evaluate learning design and delivery through surveys and assessments for continuous improvement. Support project leads by taking on specific roles when acting as a workstream team member. Unit Lead Lead or support the development and delivery of units in collaboration with our University Partner. This includes setting learning objectives, designing session materials (e.g., plans, resources, readings), and creating session evaluations. Train TFA facilitators within the quality assurance framework to effectively deliver content for the relevant learning units. Serve as a TFA unit lead for the Masters of Teaching, including acting as the primary course facilitator for the National Initial Intensive, and providing support to regions as needed for content delivery. Contributory Accountabilities Cross Functional Collaboration Facilitate alignment and sharing of learning across TFA programs. Assist in selecting future participants through relevant activities and processes. Support reporting and sustainability efforts for the program. Create and implement plans to build participant networks both regionally and nationally, fostering peer learning, collaboration, and program sustainability. Develop and strengthen partnerships with key community organisations, recognised providers, and leadership experts to ensure ongoing connection and collaboration with stakeholders. Represent and advocate for the program as a brand ambassador in various speaking engagements and communications.
