Due to ongoing and expected growth across the business, we have an exciting opportunity in our Karratha location for an experienced Maintenance Service Advisor / Purchasing Officer reporting to the National Maintenance Manager. The role entails performing duties Monday to Friday, approx. 45-50 hours a week with a degree of flexibility to work Saturday mornings if required. About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Service Advisor / Purchasing Officer to join our Team based out of the Karratha Depot. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for overseeing the parts operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for the supply and distribution of parts across various areas of the business and be able to work a flexible range of hours to support the team. About You: Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, parts, items, tools or other stock items by sourcing correct parts. Liaise with Workshop Supervisors on part requirements and storage of parts. Stocktaking when required. Data entry into site-based systems. Maintain work records to an acceptable standard. Comply with all relevant legislation, regulations, and the company's policies & procedures. Outstanding communication skills and telephone manner with the ability to provide excellent customer service. Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task. Computer literate with strong accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to work as a self-directed member of a team. Purchasing, receive all purchase requisitions and raise all purchase orders. Backfill for store persons as business demand requires. Assist costing of service jobs. Interstate, local purchasing and receipting. Parts order preparation and dispatchment. Knowledge of mechanical or automotive parts. Ad hoc duties including assisting other departments. The successful candidate will have: A valid driver’s licence. A valid forklift ticket and high-risk licence (desirable). Certificate III in Automotive Sales/Parts Interpreting (desirable but not essential). Excellent verbal and written communication skills with great attention to detail. Sound product knowledge is advantageous. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Demonstrate initiative with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Experience with electronic parts cataloguing and proficiency in data entry desirable. Exceptional commitment to health and safety. Provide Rights to work in Australia.
