Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for facilities management and administration? The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is seeking a talented and results-driven Manager to lead our Facilities Management and Administration Unit. In this role, you will oversee the management of QBCC’s statewide facilities and assets, ensuring the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, systems, and practices that support the achievement of our organisational goals. As part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, you will drive continuous improvement while working closely with other programs to optimise operations and enhance outcomes. Join us in making a meaningful impact across Queensland! Key Outcomes And Accountabilities Lead and manage the operation of the Facilities Management and Administration team. Provide strategic administration policy, advisory and operational services. Manage procurement in line with the specific Facilities Management and Administration requirements. Oversee the integration of QBCC Business Continuity Planning, Maintenance and Delivery requirements. Negotiate and manage lease and commercial arrangements: In accordance with the Queensland Government Accommodation Office and QBCC workplace strategy to ensure rent reviews, payments and notification period are adhered to in accordance with lease terms. Meeting key performance indicators including technical, risks and statutory requirements are met. Manage assets in line with contemporary government practices and QBCC policies and manage regular stocktakes. Oversee facilities and maintenance services in line with Australian Standards, statutory and legal requirements, codes of practice and WoG frameworks, direction on property standards and contemporary work designs including managing the coordination of efficient and effective responses to building issues, repairs and maintenance. Candidate Attributes The Ideal Candidate Will Have Team leadership and management skills including a commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of employees, the ability to guide and develop staff as a high performing team. Proven high-level communication skills to effectively provide guidance on the application of legislation, policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive relationships with team members and other stakeholders by consulting, negotiating and collaborating to achieve results. Ability to develop and implement problem solving or change management strategies to ensure the ongoing delivery of consistent, high-quality customer experience.
