Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action Applications close Monday 3 March 2025 at 11.59PM Overview Work type: Full time Salary: $109,730 - $132,764 Grade: VPSG5 Occupation: Other Location: North East Region Reference: VG/50965390A/The Manager, Forest and Fire Engagement leads the development, delivery and monitoring of high quality engagement and communications strategies for forest and fire management programs in the region. The position supports effective engagement with and involvement of communities, stakeholders and partner agencies in the design and delivery of the Joint Fuel Management Program, Operational Forest Management Program and other priority forest and fire management works. The Manager leads a team of engagement experts to ensure the consistent, integrated and efficient delivery of engagement services that support regional partnerships and the delivery of forest and fire management works by the districts and region. Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Demonstrated experience of working in complex environments with multiple stakeholders and building strong working relationships (mandatory) A tertiary qualification in Communications and/or equivalent experience (desirable) Experience in or knowledge of Victoria's land management or emergency services (desirable) A current employee Working with Children Check or ability to obtain this (mandatory) This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within the Hume region with hybrid work arrangements available.
