Job Description

Join Peabody’s dynamic and growing Seaborne Sales and Marketing Team as Manager, Marketing Analytics . This role provides critical support to Peabody’s sales and marketing efforts, using both an internal and external lens to develop deep insights that unlock continuous performance improvement and contribute to exceptional commercial outcomes. You will play a crucial role in collating, analysing, and presenting seaborne market intelligence, sales positions, and key marketing performance metrics for various stakeholders. You will also have the opportunity to engage in sales operations, including interactions with key commodity trading functions. Key Responsibilities: Conduct global market analysis related to coal sales and trade, including supply & demand, trade flow, pricing, and competitor benchmarking. Disseminate key market intelligence daily. Working with the sales team, contribute to sales strategy through deep analysis of the sales book and assist in the identification of medium-term customer opportunities and short-term benchmarking. Present market and sales analysis to internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate seaborne sales forecasting processes, managing key stakeholder deliverables. Manage relationships with external market intelligence and brokerage parties, including subscription negotiations. Support the execution of market-facing brokered commercial transactions for coal sales, derivatives, and ocean freight sourcing. Optimize sea freight contributions to costs of sales, including demurrage mitigation. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory requirements. About You: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Strong understanding of global physical coal markets and their relationship with auxiliary markets (e.g., LNG, Iron Ore, derivatives). Some knowledge of bulk freight markets, charter-party documentation, and freight pricing mechanisms is advantageous. Understanding of coal quality and logistics for market benchmarking. Strong modelling and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build positive working relationships across operational and corporate functions. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Ability to act independently and support decision-making. Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
