James Cook University (JCU) is now seeking an experienced Manager, Scheduling Services to lead our fast-paced Scheduling Services team. Achieve your career goals at a leading higher education institution in tropical North Queensland $ 122,944.39 - $ 130,040.42 + 17% super Fulltime (36.25hrs), continuing Based at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus ABOUT THE ROLE You will provide a scheduling service that aligns with both operational and strategic objectives of JCU, ensuring it is innovative, well-integrated, and responsive to the needs of staff and students. By applying industry best practices and benchmarking performance outcomes, you will drive continual improvement across university scheduling processes. Leading and managing a team, you will prioritize their wellbeing and professional development, enabling them to achieve high-quality performance. Your role will also involve delivering strategic and complex work programs, leveraging business intelligence datasets, analytics, and reports to meet time and quality standards. Additionally, you will establish and maintain a strategic network of stakeholders to deliver optimal scheduling services for the University. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE With tertiary qualifications you possess extensive project leadership and management capabilities, demonstrated by a strong track record of delivering successful outcomes in complex and innovative environments. Your advanced organizational, problem-solving, and administrative skills enable you to effectively prioritize tasks, meet competing deadlines, and exercise sound judgment and initiative. Your exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills allow you to maintain highly effective working relationships, negotiate, consult, and liaise with both university staff at all levels and external stakeholders. As a skilled manager, you provide leadership and ensure quality performance outcomes in challenging work settings. Additionally, your ability to review and implement business improvement initiatives contributes to the efficient and effective use of resources.
