The role is part of a national team of medical specialists who participate in clinical reviews with DSA consultants and develop evidence-based research based on practice and contribute to the outcomes of the program. This is a Part-Time (0.6 FTE), Max Term contract up until July 2028, location flexible, preference is Victoria. The role Provide comprehensive assessments and clinical reviews for cases within DSA programmes. Relationship-building and engagement with stakeholders within public hospitals and residential aged care homes relevant to case reviews and program delivery. Support and education and medical supervision of a multidisciplinary team of Team Leaders, Dementia Consultants, and Dementia Support Coaches. Liaison with medical providers and other senior health stakeholders external to DSA. Contribute to the development of guidelines, protocols, administrative processes and clinical governance processes within DSA services. Apply evidence-based approaches and ensure outcome focused evaluation and measurements within all work. Participate in the development and operations of other programs within DSA, Dementia Centre and HammondCare. Be an active participant in a culture that models and empowers staff to work in accordance with HammondCare’s Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action. Ensure utilisation of a CRM system to project manage work, maintain accurate data management and communicate with customers regarding stages of work and service. Professionally interface with a range of stakeholders. Manage wisely and escalate risks where there is reputational risk. What do we need from you? Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action. Current specialist registration with AHPRA as either a geriatrician or as a psychiatrist (Membership of the RANZCP Faculty of the Psychiatry of Old Age (FPOA) will be highly regarded). Applicants with >5 years of post-Fellowship experience will be preferenced. Significant post-Fellowship experience within the public hospital system, ideally within a leadership role/roles. Experience in the operational leadership of multidisciplinary teams and familiarity with reporting requirements. Experience in operating effectively in a multi-site environment. A current drivers’ licence and safe driving record. Willingness to travel, including interstate. Strong administrative and computer skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
