About the office The Prospective Students Office leads the University’s domestic student recruitment efforts across all programs, translating strategy into operational plans for the entire student recruitment journey. About the role The National Manager, Student Recruitment is responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of domestic student recruitment activities for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This role oversees the development and implementation of national recruitment strategies, manages key stakeholder relationships, and ensures the achievement of enrolment targets. The position reports to the National Director, Student Recruitment. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement national student recruitment strategies aligned with the University’s strategic objectives, policies, and compliance requirements. Lead and manage the student recruitment team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development. Oversee the development and maintenance of key stakeholder relationships, including high schools, career advisors, RTOs, and pathway providers. Establish and expand recruitment channels, such as partnerships with pathway providers and community organisations, to broaden the University's reach and attract diverse student cohorts. Oversee the planning and execution of recruitment events, including Open Days, career advisor seminars, and program information sessions. Manage the budget for student recruitment activities, ensuring responsible resource allocation and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with internal teams, including Admissions, Marketing, Faculties/Schools, Student Administration, and Student Life, to ensure cohesive recruitment strategies and seamless student support. Qualifications, skills & experience Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful student recruitment strategies. Experienced in leading and managing teams, including performance management, professional development, and leading remote or distributed teams. Strong understanding of the domestic higher education sector, including student recruitment trends, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements. Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate strategic objectives into operational plans. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders. Proven experience in project management with budget management and resource allocation. Proficient in using CRM systems and data analytics to inform recruitment strategies and track performance. Hold and maintain a current “C” class driver’s license and a valid Working with Children Check.
