Operations & Operations Support, Various Roles (APS5), Affirmative Measure Salary package up to $107K (includes 15.4% super) The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is looking to fill multiple vacancies of Operations and Operations Support, Various Roles (APS5) (Affirmative Measure - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples) , in the Data Sourcing Division. This role is only open to people that identify and are recognised as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, under the Affirmative Measures Guidelines. This is your opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander voice and needs are embedded into our work outputs. About the roles Contact Centre Line Manager : You will lead a team of APS2 Survey Officers who are responsible for both inbound and outbound calls where they support providers to complete their survey obligations. Assistant Survey Managers - DSCC (Geelong or Melbourne) : Operate under limited direction to assist teams responsible for the timely collection of confidential provider data. Area Supervisors – Household Survey Operations (HSO) (Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney, Perth) : Lead a team of Field Interviewers conducting interviews for the Monthly Population Survey (MPS) and other Special Social Surveys (SSS). Project Officers - HSO Support and Compliance (Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne or Geelong) : Work in teams responsible for delivering Interviewer support functions in various areas of specialised responsibility. Team Leader/Assistant Manager – Despatch and Capture Unit (DCU) (Geelong) : Focus on operational management in line with forward work program in Jira. Data Capture Assistant Manager / Project Officer – DCU (Geelong) : Provide support and guidance on daily operations and lead complex activities and collections. Program Support Officers – Acquisition Management and Coordination (AMAC) (Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Geelong, Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney) : Strong relationship builders with well-developed communication and problem-solving skills. What we are looking for (selection criteria) To be suitable you should have most or all of the following skills, qualities and experience: Ability to lead and develop a team, including those working remotely, in a fast-paced changing environment. Ability to manage competing priorities, including the ability to complete business as usual work while working through a change program. Ability to use sound judgement and reasoning to resolve complex problems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to understand and apply relevant guidelines and policies. A proactive individual with a growth mindset, eager to embrace challenges and continuously improve.
