Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing early mobility programs to facilitate recovery, as well as preparing and managing tracheostomy care when required.You will take the lead in overseeing the management of high-risk patients transitioning to ward care, ensuring continuity and best practices. Additionally, you will contribute to the professional growth of the team by providing clinical supervision and guidance to less experienced physiotherapists, fostering a supportive and high-quality learning environment.Where You’ll Be Working A vibrant regional city in the Hunter Valley, Maitland is known for its rich history, charming heritage buildings, and thriving arts scene! You should possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and act as a representative, sharing key information from meetings to ensure everyone is aligned. In addition, you will be expected to provide effective clinical supervision and support to junior therapists, helping them navigate the complexities of the ICU environment. Your leadership and guidance will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere within the team.Requirements Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA Additional Information To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia.
