Apply now Job no: 568424Work type: Fixed TermLocation: Campus IndependentCategories: Administration and Executive Support, Student Services, Educational Services Fixed Term until 31/12/2025 Career progression and support About the position Placement Partnering and Operations is a dynamic and fast-paced environment supporting more than 10,000 students to undertake a work-based learning experience each year as well as managing the administration of agreements for more than 18,000 placements per annum. The Placement Officer is allocated a portfolio of responsibility for which they undertake this work and respond to student and partner inquiries related to placements, providing high quality professional advice and customer service, and consistently demonstrating La Trobe’s cultural values. Key to success in the role is excellent workload management skills and attention to detail in a high-volume area. An ability to work with complexity and ambiguity, and with a flexible approach to work is essential. Accountability and the ability to effectively work as part of a large and enthusiastic team and contribute to building a positive team spirit is highly valued and required in this position. Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, you will have: Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Current experience working in the Partnership Operations Team at La Trobe University. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility. Demonstrated capacity to organise work effectively and efficiently and deliver outputs in a timely manner. High level proficiency in computer software packages including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the use of the internet as a research tool. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated customer service focus and solution-oriented approach.
