The Role: The Planning Analyst role assists and supports the Merchandise Planner in the achievement of budgeted sales, gross profit and inventory productivity measures. Reporting to the Merchandise Planner, it’s a broad inventory-based role where you will get the opportunity to directly influence our profitability through data-based decision making. The role will be involved in: Allocation support. Inventory management and control. Your Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Building and producing reports. Conducting analysis and making recommendations. Core Line forecasting and purchase planning. Managing inter store transfers (consolidations). Supporting the allocation process through guiding and coaching the Allocator. Markdown modelling. Managing the inventory outcomes of the new store opening process. To succeed in this role, you will need to have: Strong numerical and analytical skills. Ability to understand data and analytics and make recommendations as a result. Product forecasting experience. Proven ability to manage inventory through prior analytical/commercial role with a good understanding of merchandise inventory basics. Ability to take a proactive approach and think strategically. Advanced Excel skills with the ability to champion Excel-based projects. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Affiliation with Accent Group Core values and “Make It Happen ” attitude.
