Practice Manager/Senior Medical Receptionist Knoxfield, Victoria, Australia We are Together Medical Family Practice; a GP clinic in the city of Knox. A vibrant, 4-doctor, 2-nurse medical centre situated adjacent to a pharmacy in the strip mall of Knox, Melbourne, Vic. We are searching for an experienced, professional, energetic and capable practice manager, or senior medical receptionist, to join our team. Our clinic is already a smooth and productive, small but lively practice and we need a competent manager to: Oversee performance of reception staff and ensure duties are upheld to a high standard in the opening/closing/maintenance of the clinic as well as correct and accurate itemisation of billing. Manage rosters of staff as well as doctor's leave times to ensure adequate coverage at all times, ensuring accurate time sheets and managing payroll. Be involved in the hiring process of new reception staff and in their subsequent training. Regularly create clinic progress reports, thereby maintaining vigilance over the financial progress of the practice. Attend to the regular application of all incentive clinic payments (e.g. WIPS/PIPS). Manage clinic billings and resolution of Medicare claims. Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices. Liaise with and support the bookkeeper with necessary documents (e.g. receipts for lodging BAS). Conduct regular staff meetings and annual performance evaluations for the reception team. Work with IT systems and assist with troubleshooting when required. Ideally have experience navigating successful Accreditation. Promote a safe, energetic, open, friendly, and trusting workplace that maintains effective channels of communication with all staff, doctors, and patients to deliver quality medical care. Ideally, the applicant needs to have a minimum of 3 years experience working in medical practice management. Our clinic currently has adequate reception coverage, but an overseeing manager to work 2 days a week or 3 days a fortnight would suit the size of the practice.
