About the role: As a part of the planned transition of the Donor Conception Registers into the department, data remediation and standardisation across legacy and current in-use data management systems that store data for Victoria's two donor registers are required. The key purpose of this role is to prepare data in these registers for migrating into a new, more secure IT system within the department's IT environment. This role will require you to lead this project, with hands-on responsibilities to coordinate and deliver accurate, complete data in the donor registers. This task will require remediating and standardising data in collaboration with the Donor Conception Registrar. This role will also involve supporting and performing user acceptance testing on the data during its migration to the new IT system and ensuring that the data in the new IT system meets the department's operational data needs. This role will also be accountable for ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance in the current registers and during the transition to the new IT system. About you: The Principal Analyst will lead, manage and oversee a dedicated team to: remediate and standardise data in the current donor registers identify and resolve data-related gaps in the current registers, including any issues caused by previous data migration collaborate with technical teams to ensure data quality for migration to the new IT system collaborate with technical teams to perform data-related user acceptance testing during the migration to the new IT system collaborate with other areas of the department within E-health, Organisational Effectiveness and cross functional teams identify and implement data-related processes and system improvements across the registers Key Responsibilities Data Cleansing & Standardisation Develop and execute data cleansing and standardisation strategies to ensure accuracy, integrity and consistency in the current registers. Identify and address data gaps in the current registers, including any issues caused by previous data migration. Data Migration Collaborate with the Donor Conception Registrar and eHealth to perform data-related user acceptance testing during the migration to the new IT system, ensuring alignment with Departmental objectives and regulatory requirements. Identify and implement data-related business process improvements across both donor registers. Leadership and People Management Manage and provide leadership to a team of short-term data entry staff, supporting individuals to achieve their potential and contributing to organisational goals and outcomes. Ensure the team has clarity of goals and accountabilities, and delegate responsibilities appropriately. Project Management Oversee, monitor and deliver activities, ensuring they are delivered to time and quality requirements, and in accordance with relevant legislation and government regulations and guidelines. Promote innovation and Continuous Improvement Drive continuous service improvement by leading strategic and corporate projects enabling both the branch and the division to deliver their key outcomes and objectives. Qualifications / Specialist Expertise Qualifications Tertiary qualification in information/records management, or relevant discipline. Knowledge and experience of working in a regulatory environment is highly desirable. Specialist Expertise Qualifications in and/or skills such as data analytics, data visualisation, statistics are desirable. Project Management qualification is highly desirable.
