Job Description About the Role The purpose of this role is to provide specialist strategic governance and design expertise to enable the successful embedding, operationalisation and execution of the next horizon of the diversity and inclusion strategy at BHP. Deliver key activities and services as a lean Centre of Excellence. Role includes ongoing best practice market mapping, conducting ongoing research, initiative design and localisation, diagnostic analysis and requirements definition, stakeholder management and reporting. Accountabilities Lead design of key strategic initiatives to enable global delivery of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy. This will include diagnosis of requirements and opportunity definition through a combination of data analysis and facilitation. Manage external partners where required, share leading practice, and design interventions across the organisation to support the Inclusion strategy. Partner with the business to localise and support intervention design in consultation with HR and business colleagues. These may relate to building cultural awareness and competency, designing retention interventions, or addressing other needs related to respect and inclusion in the workplace. Undertake best practice detailed design of interventions, clarifying what needs to be applied consistently vs what can be localised, and deliver through the business and inclusion communities (e.g., leaders, HR, teams), providing advice on both the interventions but also implementation. Diagnose root causes of any inclusion-related performance gaps and use subject matter expertise to advise the business on how to course-correct initiatives, and on gap-closing actions that are in line with the Inclusion strategy. Support build of deeper capabilities and a refreshed operating model for the next horizon of BHP's cultural journey as we work from a position of strength in building diversity to making diversity count - through Inclusion. Drive target setting and business ownership for targets as required in line with current strategic direction; shaping insights and monitoring of progress against targets and other activity through data and reporting. Manage the interface and collaboration with existing customers, stakeholders and DEI-related groups as required (e.g., ERGs, IDCs, AIPWG, HR Consulting, sprint teams, government relations, Indigenous Engagement). Deepen CoE's functional expertise by building external relationships and partnerships for and with BHP, and develop own subject matter expertise to ensure BHP innovates and incorporates latest research. About You Experience in Organization Development and Change experience. Knowledge in evidence-based program or initiative design. Experience working with senior stakeholders. Experience with advancing cultural and racial diversity work within a large organization. Experience working in large complex organizational environments.
