We are looking for a Principal Engineer who will be responsible for relevant design, operation, testing, inspection, and maintenance data combined with their engineering judgement to complete analyses, design tests, produce reports, develop procedures, and make recommendations to clients. What you can expect Responsible for: Using knowledge and available data to produce technical reports Defining and executing strategies for projects Reviewing and approving the work of others before issue Supporting department and Corporate management in successful delivery to clients Developing own technical knowledge and assisting with development of others Effective communication and mentoring of individuals in the department Assisting with group compliance with all QHSE policy and procedures Supporting department and Corporate with business development activities Monitoring and managing budgets on projects run by themselves and others Quality check of own work and the work of others Training and development of staff where required and appropriate Escalation towards Project Manager What you will bring Requirements: Degree Qualified engineer - Bachelors / Masters Engineers at this level will ideally be Chartered through a relevant Engineering institution. Normally a minimum of 10 years relevant industry and project experience The ideal candidate would have a few years of experience working with the AS2885 code within the integrity engineering field Competencies: Has expert knowledge in at least one Engineering Office / INS discipline Is able to understand and interpret the main industry codes and standards A good problem solver with an analytical mind and attention to detail Ability to author basic technical reports, getting across relevant information in a structured and coherent format Good communication skills Sound technical knowledge of main types of studies performed / methodologies utilized Project Management skills Excellent communication skills, including presenting results of technical studies to clients Ability to critically review work of engineers to ensure technical excellence and development of team Track record of delivering Engineering and technical functions including policy, standards development, regulatory compliance, and risk management Strong knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, code, and appropriate safety criteria.
