Capabilities Office Setup: Hybrid Job ID: #24066 At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery, and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good. Your impact: We’re looking for a strategic, organised and committed Program Communications Manager to plan, manage, deliver, and report on communications across the Program. This role would suit someone with a corporate, internal, or employee communications background, who wants the opportunity to both manage and deliver communications. The ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role. Be part of a large-scale, long-term joint venture between Jacobs and Seymour Whyte (known as Creek Connect), awarded by Sydney Water as an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) project. As the region expands, so does the need for sustainable and resilient water solutions. The Upper South Creek Network (USCN) will feature new wastewater pumping stations and gravity carriers, with the first work stage beginning before the year's end. The project also emphasises safety, digital engineering, and compliance with the latest standards, ensuring it meets future needs effectively. Location: Our preference is for the Program Communications Manager to work full-time from the Sydney Water Parramatta office, with some flexibility. The role reports to the USCN Program Manager. About our Jacobs Engagement and Social Planning Section: Our ANZ Engagement and Social Planning Section partners with our clients and the broader Jacobs business to design, deliver, and evaluate communications and engagement approaches for major infrastructure projects. We help our clients solve their most complex challenges in ways that consider stakeholder and community impacts and seek to deliver positive environmental outcomes. We collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across a range of markets including water, defence, energy, power, and transport. You will be joining 30+ specialists located across ANZ, providing great opportunities for knowledge sharing, learning, and continuous improvement. Your responsibilities: Live Sydney Water and Creek Connect’s shared values and ensure the ‘customer is at the heart’ as we deliver the USCN Program. Prepare, manage, implement, and update the Program Internal Communications Plan. Support the Program Leadership Team with the preparation and roll out of a range of communications and events. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of internal communication channels and deliverables. Manage the Program SharePoint, liaising with various departments to ensure consistent and appropriate sharing of information and messaging. Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify communication needs and support Program milestones. Support preparation, coordinate, review, and manage all Program-wide internal communications, including newsletters, ad hoc communications, reports, and other communications to executive leadership, the program team, and Sydney Water. Review and edit a range of Program documents to ensure standardisation, consistency, and quality. Champion and reinforce the Creek Connect brand, ensuring this brand is consistently applied in line with Sydney Water’s branding and style guidelines. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align communication activities with Program objectives. Be available to work full-time from Sydney Water’s Parramatta office. Minimum Requirements: Good experience working in a similar role in a major corporation, government department, or agency environment. Demonstrated experience managing and delivering communications for a range of internal audiences to effectively engage diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. A ‘can-do’ attitude, with an interest in being hands-on in the roll-out of the Internal Communications Plan and Content Calendar. Proficiency in using a range of communication platforms, tools, and methods to deliver impactful messaging. Experience working in dynamic or ambiguous environments, with a proven ability to adapt to change. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and high levels of emotional intelligence and empathy. Strong organisational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. A ‘can-do’ attitude with an interest in continuous learning and improvement. Jacobs. A world where you can. At Jacobs, we support your personal life and career journeys.
