Project Manager - Data Capability Platform Initial Contract until 30 June 2026 with possible extension Brisbane CBD Office with hybrid work arrangements Must be Brisbane based resident to apply This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. The Digital Strategy Division is led by the Chief Digital Officer. The division has an exciting transformative remit, partnering with the frontline to enable and facilitate digital and data solutions that enhance the Service's frontline service delivery and maximize opportunities for efficiencies. It has an eye on the future, designing and developing future digital and data capabilities, seeking out innovative solutions and building the future landscape. The Division also has the lead responsibility for AI within the organization. A Project Manager is required to lead and manage a significant and complex Data Capability Platform project and ensure the successful implementation and completion of project deliverables. You will work in collaboration with key stakeholders to deliver key outcomes. You will play a critical role in the successful delivery of the Eco-System of the Project, a strategic endeavor aimed at redesigning, constructing, and deploying a cutting-edge data platform. The platform will need to allow seamless interoperability and integration across a diverse range of applications. Key Responsibilities of the role: Lead the delivery of the Project across a geographically dispersed workforce. Develop complex data project and work plans that outline objectives, scope, timeline, resources, and deliverables. Establish clear project priorities, goals, and success criteria. Plan and manage project activities in line with the organization and Whole of Government best practice and standards, including PRINCE2 and agile methodologies. Provide high-level strategic direction and leadership in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of the project and related business strategies and organizational change. Provide regular project progress status and financial reports to stakeholders and prepare, review and present project reports, briefing notes, submissions, and other correspondence. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver project outcomes and ensure compliance with business governance processes. Provide guidance to project stakeholders to facilitate informed business decisions that improve business processes and meet changing and challenging business needs. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and Government standards. Key accountabilities of this role: The Project Manager will have the ability to work effectively with technical subject matter experts and business users across various teams and build positive relationships with key stakeholders. 5+ years' experience of project management within a large and complex organization. Proven experience leading the delivery of large-scale projects across a geographically dispersed workforce. Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills (verbal and written) with internal and external stakeholders. Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with an ability to manage competing priorities. Desirable Skills required: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Agile Project Management certification or equivalent (e.g. Prince 2 Practitioner or Safe Agile). Current and varied experience across both public and private sectors. High level of professional integrity and ethical behaviour, in line with Queensland Government and QPS values. Key Deliverables of the Role: Robust reporting on project scope, schedule, resource requirements, and allocation. Thorough and meticulous project budget management and reporting. Lead engagement of key stakeholders. Defined and detailed scheduling and resource planningManagement of vendors and internal stakeholders of build to meet Data Capability Platform requirements.
