We're currently recruiting for a Project Manager to manage the onsite delivery phase of a major control and management system upgrade for a large rail organisation.This role will oversee the installation of various back end and operator facing communication hardware at various facilities while coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful implementation.This is a 6-month contract position with opportunity to extend as the project progresses through commissioning, post-commissioning, and subsequent decommissioning works for legacy systems.Roles and Responsibilities Manage onsite delivery of control system hardware Coordinate with suppliers, internal teams, and other stakeholders Schedule and oversee works ensuring existing operational network is not negatively impacted Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as needed Report on delivery progress and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the implementation Skills and Requirements Prior experience as a Project Engineer, Project Manager, and/or similar Qualification in Engineering, Electrician, Electronics Telecommunications, Communications, or similar would be beneficial. Rail or other heavy industry experience would be valuable (e.g., Transport, Mining, Defence, Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Manufacturing, Water, Power, Maritime, Utilities). Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
