DHA manages one of Australia’s largest national housing portfolios of about 17,000 properties and has an opportunity for experienced Risk and Assurance Officers to join the team. About your team As part of the Service Delivery team, Property function, you will help your broader team meet their delivery objectives for high quality housing services, including provisioning, maintenance services, stock management, housing allocation and living-in accommodation booking services. The Property function is responsible for the delivery of developments, construction, acquisitions, sales, upgrades and heritage programs. You will have principal responsibility for Upgrade and construction related tasks across these projects. About the role As a Project Manager, you will manage a number of residential construction and upgrade projects in Sydney (and locations around Australia), as described in the Capital Plan/Agreed Provisioning Schedule. You will use your communication and stakeholder management skills to work with a range of teams to effectively manage upgrade projects. More specifically, day to day you will: Effectively run construction projects in their entirety, from planning to delivery and report to the Upgrades Manager. Utilise your existing experience in construction upgrade and project management skills across the private or public sector. Ensure scope and works are being completed in accordance with the relevant Australian National Construction Code. Manage the projects forecast, budget requirements, understand key deliverables and timeframes, within policy and in consultation with your colleagues. Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation, promoting the agency’s business objectives through key relationships. Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service. Maintain high quality and up to date project records and files, track financial activities and approvals.
