About The Gold Coast Intellectual, Developmental Disability Mental Health Service The IDD mental health team is a new, specialist, community-based mental health service. We provide support, education, and training to consumers, families/carers, and treating teams, and advanced healthcare to young people and adults with complex neurodevelopmental conditions and co-occurring mental health disorders. About Your New Role In this highly skilled and close-knit team, you will have the opportunity to shape service delivery, establish team processes, and refine referral pathways. You will contribute to leading service improvements, education, training, and research initiatives ensuring a strong foundation for future growth in this field. Join our supportive team where you will play a pivotal role in driving best practices and enhancing outcomes for consumers with complex needs. Key Responsibilities Apply advanced knowledge and evidence-based clinical management principles of cognitive, developmental, neurological, psychiatric, and sensory disabilities for patients. Deliver advanced level psychological or neuropsychological assessment, formulation, brief intervention, and positive behaviour support planning. Provide expert guidance to service planning and lead implementation of evidence-based reviews. Contribute to clinical governance and professional competence, providing advanced training and supervision to psychologists, psychology registrars, and higher education students. Qualifications and Experience A tertiary degree in Psychology. AHPRA Registration. Driver Licence. Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Hepatitis B. Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required. Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.
