About The Role The Quality Assurance Team Leader leads a team of Quality Assurance Associates to perform product verification activities and to release products for distribution. The Quality Assurance Team Leader ensures that product release and associated quality assurance and compliance activities are completed with the highest level of care and accuracy, and in a timely manner to maintain continuity of supply. In addition, this role will focus on continuously improving our quality assurance and compliance processes, working collaboratively with the Scientific Affairs team and stakeholders to define and deliver our quality and compliance plans and objectives, and to ensure our team and business are working as effectively as possible. This is to ensure the products supplied to our customers meets the relevant regulatory standards, contractual obligations, and our internal quality standards. Role & Responsibilities Leads a team of Quality Assurance Associates to ensure turnaround of product verification and release activities according to the KPIs and service timelines agreed with Supply Chain. Provide update to weekly Stock at Risk (SAR) meeting including provide updates to the stakeholders and ensure actions required by the QA team are communicated and implemented. When required, negotiates release priorities and coordinates delivery to promise, to ensure products are released on time to meet customer requirements. Drives resolution and/or escalation of issues identified during verification, according to quality risk management principles, to ensure timely solutions including: reviews and investigates, assess relative risk appropriately, approves or escalates deviations logged by the Associates in a timely manner. ensures issues are reported to suppliers within the required commercial contractual timelines and by the required communication methods defined in the associated Supply Agreement. escalates issues that are unable to be resolved and/or deemed high risk, to Product Quality Manager in a timely manner. Ensures deviations are closed in a timely manner once all required actions are complete. Performs product release/verification activities when required. Manages a team of Quality Assurance Associates including setting and managing individual performance plans, goals and development plans. Trains and mentors Quality Assurance Associates. Develops SOPs and Work Instructions for areas under the responsibility of the role, to ensure efficient and compliant ways of working. Develops metrics/KPIs and generates reports for product release for Operations management. Adhere to the Arrotex Health, Safety and Wellbeing policy, procedures and systems. Maintain a clean and orderly workplace. Take reasonable care for own and others health and safety. Participate in health and safety training. Identify hazards and incidents in the workplace and if not immediately controllable, report and inform hazards and incidents in accordance with policy to relevant persons and management. Champion Arrotex Mission, Aims, Objectives and Values. Work cooperatively with colleagues across the Company. Actively participate in opportunities to communicate within Arrotex including attending team meetings. Demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly with others to respond to needs of an evolving organisation. Ensure that confidentiality is respected and maintained always. Perform any other duties as directed by management. Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance, or a related compliance role, in the pharmaceutical industry. People leadership skills is desirable but not essential. Understands and able to apply the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and the QA/QC systems associated with the manufacture of medicines. Extensive knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging and/or testing processes and technologies. Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality in all work and activities. Advanced pro-active problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate quality and compliance problems systematically and apply quality risk management principles to recommend workable outcomes; proactive anticipation of needs, with the ability to foresee challenges and problems, and taking action to prevent them. Excellent / advanced written, verbal and listening communication skills – produces well thought-out, professional written correspondence free of grammatical and spelling errors; speaks with confidence, clarity and is easily understood; active listening to effectively receive, interpret and analyse information. Well-developed organisation and time-management skills with an ability to balance and prioritise a variety of tasks and competing demands, in order to manage workflow efficiently and meet critical time frames. Proven self-direction with the skills to be resourceful and the ability to exercise discretion and judgement in working independently and as part of a team. Be able to demonstrate critical thinking in situations by evaluating information available, considering multiple perspectives and use evidence based reasoning to resolve issue and/or propose solutions. Proven ability to perform effective risk assessment and risk management for quality and compliance issues. Be able to effectively communicate with different stakeholders to drive outcomes. Proven ability to manage a high volume of tasks with competing priorities. Skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
