Radiopharmaceutical Manufacturing Manager - Permanent - Perth, Australia Proclinical are proud to be partnered with our client to recruit a Radiopharmaceutical Manufacturing Manager to join a high functioning and growing team. Role Overview The Radiopharmaceutical Production Manager will oversee and coordinate all production-related activities for the manufacture of F-18 FDG, ensuring compliance within a GMP-compliant manufacturing environment and safety regulations. This role involves managing production personnel, maintaining equipment, and your expertise will ensure the quality of manufactured products and drive continuous improvements in manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all production-related activities at the site level. Oversee the preparation and set-up of synthesis and dispensing units and the safe delivery of products to clients. Provide GMP training to personnel involved in manufacturing, quality control, and distribution activities. Track radiation exposure of production personnel and maintain ALARA principles to assure compliance with all regulations as required. Establish meaningful site performance metrics, together with systems for monitoring results and identifying success and defaults in a timely manner for appropriate action ensuring continuous improvement of quality systems. Lead a weekly production meeting, assign and monitor progress of action items. Oversee inventory of supplies used in FDG and manufacture of all other products. Train new personnel and conduct annual performance reviews of all production personnel. Investigate and document Deviation Reports. Provide cyclotron operation and or synthesis/dispensing coverage if required by necessity. Key Skills and Requirements Minimum of 3 years experience in the manufacture of F-18 FDG or similar radiopharmaceuticals to cGMP regulatory requirements (essential). Degree qualified in physical sciences or related scientific discipline with relevant working experience in GMP manufacturing. Experience implementing practices to maintain a cGMP manufacturing licence. Excellent management, leadership and communications skills. Training system implementation experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Knowledge of radioactive materials handling, ALARA concepts and Radiation Safety principles.
