Higher Success are working with an investment business that is seeking Recruitment founders who are specialists in any Professional recruitment market offering full investment packages whilst taking a minority stake in your business so that you can keep control, autonomy, and decision-making. You will own at least 51% of your business and retain control. They are open to investing in recruitment founders in Australia and the wider APAC regions. They are also open to investing in Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Their current portfolio has businesses in APAC in Tokyo, Singapore, and Australia, and their central offices support offices in London, Dubai, USA, and all over APAC. They are keen to invest in Healthcare recruitment (Doctors), Technology, Renewable energy, HR Recruitment, Life sciences, and professional service markets such as Marketing, etc. Can start as a single founder or in a partnership You might be thinking about setting up an agency/search firm or you might have made a start. They have decades of experience establishing and growing global recruitment brands. The CEO built a Recruitment business and sold it for 7 figures before launching their investment business. 80% of the decision is to invest in the person, that is motivated, has a strong business plan and a vision on how to grow, and shows a high level of commitment in the process and in building a business. You will be growing a business together with an exit plan to sell in roughly 5-7 years; they will actively manage the consulting to you on how to be lucrative to sell and will manage the sale with you. You just need to focus on scaling something exciting to investors. You can choose to stay in the business in some capacity after the point of sale. Most will exit though to cash in the largest amount. Having a community of high achieving ambitious business leaders working together Founders also benefit from a diverse non-competing recruitment community working towards common goals. You will work closely with other leaders in the group. Shared training and development Networking Opportunity sharing Problem solving and support from other leaders Economies of scale for suppliers etc. How much will they invest in your business? Investment and funding level will depend on the business plan, how much co-investment the founder is putting in, what stake they will take, how quickly they will scale, and what markets they are in, etc. They look at each investment as a separate business case and work out with the Founder the level of investment both parties will put into the business. You will need to co-invest and have funding to put into the business yourself for growth. What areas of support will I receive? Investment and cash injection for growth based on an agreed business plan. Support and business coaching and mentoring Succession & Exit Planning You will be able to focus purely on candidates, clients, and developing their consultants to be high achieving and successful and let the experts take care of everything else. What back office support is available? Finance support Legal Systems HR Talent acquisition to hire consultants to help growth People Management support Branding and Marketing Training (e.g. weekly training sessions for new recruiters with one of the senior leaders) How are they different from other investors? Investment options for Recruitment businesses usually come from small individuals or businesses that offer financial input but no other support, mentoring, or back office etc. The other option is big investment businesses that will offer back office, mentoring, exit planning, etc., but they take a majority stake. This option allows you to have all the support a larger investment business would give but lets you keep control and decision-making power. What is the process? A call with Higher Success to go over your experience and your future plans A call with the CEO Budget completion (with support from the group CFO) 2x calls or meetings to develop business plan and strategy Ideally, you will have the following background At least 4 years 360 recruitment experience in an agency background At least 3 years experience growing a successful high billing desk in a lucrative market. Resilience and ability to stick to a project long term to grow a market Self-motivated and headstrong to achieve your goals Long term ambition to be incredibly successful and hard-working to get there. Ideally, you will have had management or mentoring experience of junior consultants. There will be training and support on the management side if you haven't got extensive experience.
