Regional Administrative Officer - Palliative Care $59,508 - $65,132 + Super + Salary Sacrifice The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health Ltd was established by its founding members to provide a coordinated/integrated approach to the planning, development and delivery of comprehensive primary health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations within the Southeast Qld Region. The Quality and Innovation Unit provides leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of plans, programs, models, and policies for improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and Well-being. The Unit will develop and manage to maturity enhanced service delivery models in new and expanded functional IUIH services and programs. About the Role The Palliative Care and EOL Administration officer will be responsible for a high standard of customer service and work within the Palliative Care Services Team and support the team with clinical service development, specialist coordination, contributing to the ongoing development of clinical policies and standards, assisting the IUIH Network with clinic systems and workforce to ensure they are geared to deliver on targets in line with the IUIH System of Care. The position will also be responsible for coordinating intake for new referrals, organizing client data and medical billing processes, and provision of general administrative support to the team, IUIH Network members and clients. Day to Day Duties Include: Provide general admin support to the Clinic Team and visiting specialists including responding to enquiries, typing, photocopying, scanning and uploading, compilation of materials/folders, extracting and compiling data, preparing resources for program activities. Coordinate the Palliative Care and End of Life service calendars, requests, email, bookings, follow-up, reporting and Medicare billings. Keep the Palliative Care and End of Life processes, procedures, tools and pathway documents updated. Complete intake processes for incoming referrals and support the team whilst adhering to guidelines and protocols. Prioritize and triage based on clinic guidelines and ensure appropriate follow-up is taken for clients with urgent requests. Respond to clients in distress or crisis calmly and sensitively, seeking appropriate assistance as necessary to best support the client, yourself, and those around you. About You High level communication skills that demonstrate the ability to effectively negotiate and liaise with clients and members of the community, team members, health professionals and GP clinic staff in the provision of professional quality client service. Current CPR Certificate Current Criminal History Check Current Blue Card (prior to commencement) Current Yellow Card (prior to commencement) Desirable, but not mandatory: Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and/or communities.
