The Team: St. Helens District Hospital has Tasmania’s busiest rural emergency department, with an increase in emergency presentations during peak tourist season from December until April. The hospital provides a fast-paced environment that delivers high quality patient centred care. The Role: The Registered Nurse: Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals within the defined community practice area. Details of appointment: Fixed term, casual position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 24 months. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse Current Driver’s Licence Salary: $78,179 to $105,995 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type Remote and Rural Professional Development Allowance of an additional salary allowance of 4% Benefits available to eligible candidates: Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
