Position: Regulatory and Policy Analyst Location: Remote/Hybrid Type: Full-Time Role Overview and your Opportunity to Make an Impact: The Regulatory and Policy Analyst will play a critical role in supporting WeMoney's engagement with the complex regulatory landscape of the financial services industry, particularly in the areas of the Consumer Data Right (CDR) and financial capability and advancing the positive progression of financial health of all Australians. This position requires a motivated individual with a keen interest in financial regulation and the ability to analyse and interpret regulatory developments. The ideal candidate will have exceptional research and writing skills and be able to communicate complex regulatory concepts in a clear and concise manner. Key Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth research and analysis on regulatory developments, emerging trends, and policy issues related to CDR, financial capability, and other relevant areas. Monitor changes in legislation, regulations, and industry codes of practice. Assess the potential impact of regulatory changes on WeMoney's business operations and strategic objectives. Draft clear and concise policy briefs, position papers, and consultation submissions on regulatory matters. Articulate WeMoney's position on regulatory issues to government agencies, industry bodies, and other stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with key policymakers and influencers. Represent WeMoney in industry forums, working groups, and consultations. Provide expert advice and insights on regulatory matters to internal stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and support business objectives. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, economics, public policy, or a related field. Strong understanding of the Australian regulatory environment, particularly in relation to financial services and consumer protection. Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills. Ability to communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences. Demonstrated experience in policy development, advocacy, or stakeholder engagement. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
