No Offer Description Full time role, fixed term for 6 months Exciting opportunity for a Research Officer to join the Sydney Nursing School, Facility of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney Base Salary: $99,455 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Officer to work with us in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the HIRAID Registered Trademark Aged Care framework for nurses in residential aged care homes (RACH). The aim of the HIRAID Registered Trademark Aged Care framework is to standardise the assessment and management of residents in residential aged care. In this role, the Research Officer will assist with the transfer, management, and analysis of routinely collected health data from RACHs. They will be responsible for the use of statistical software for the validation, management, and storage of trial data, liaising with aged care homes to audit data quality, and working with the broader research team to ensure data collected is fit-for-purpose. Your key responsibilities will be to: Develop data validation and quality assurance plans for the collection of routine health data. Use programming software to automate the validation, cleaning, and storage of routinely collected data. Work collaboratively with members of the research team and aged care stakeholders in the collection, transfer, and analysis of data. Conduct data handling and data transfer between external and internal University systems. About you Experience using R, Python, or other high-level programming languages for data management and cleaning. Experience with the use of relational databases and familiarity with extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes. Experience using GIT or similar software for version control and collaboration would be desirable. Experience in using and/or managing health or other highly confidential data. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong collaborative interprofessional relationships. Ability to work with various teams and stakeholders including researchers, nurses, and senior staff.
