The Finance Services division provides high quality financial services to the University community, under the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Finance. Finance Services is responsible for the overall management of the University’s budgets, forecasts, management and statutory reporting, financial systems management, effective financial controls and treasury functions that support achievement of objectives outlined in the University’s strategic plan. About the Role: You are highly organised, detail oriented, and have a sense of urgency to complete tasks promptly but accurately. You have a flexible outlook and are able to take care of frequent interruptions and changing priorities. You have strong communication, customer service and social skills, especially with contacts from both technical and financial backgrounds. You have the initiative and creative flair to offer innovative solutions to improve the Accounts Receivable function. Your Skills & Experience: Strong communication skills to maintain positive working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time management skills. High degree of independence, judgement, problem solving and specialist knowledge relating to credit control. Accountability and responsibility to minimise the University’s exposure to bad and doubtful debts through professional credit control.
