Risk and Compliance Specialist (3-4 months) Mars Recruitment is partnering with a leading organisation within the Automotive industry to find an experienced and immediately available, Risk and Compliance professional to join the team on a temporary 3-4 month basis . Working as part of the first line of defence, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, managing, and monitoring risks that arise from daily business activities. Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, and a proactive approach to risk management. Key Responsibilities: Provide sound risk management advice and actively engage with all areas of the business. Ensure compliance with risk frameworks, policies, and procedures, keeping them fit for purpose. Oversee the control environment through activities like Risk Control Self-Assessments, Risk Appetite reviews, compliance attestations, and Business Continuity testing. Assist in drafting and testing controls while supporting business users with regulatory changes. Contribute to and deliver the First Line Risk Program of work. Analyse incidents and issues, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Provide coaching and practical guidance to front-line colleagues. Lead workshops and group discussions, demonstrating strong communication and facilitation skills. Uphold ethical and professional standards, adhering to organisational values and the Code of Conduct. Comply with organisational policies, including Work Health & Safety standards. Key Experience: Experience in a similar role, ideally within a General Insurance environment. Knowledge of ISO 31000 Risk Management (highly desirable). Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, or Law (desirable). Strong understanding and application of risk and control concepts. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory and policy requirements. Analytical skills to identify, quantify, and address risks and areas of non-compliance. Effective time management and prioritisation skills. Strong interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
